New: Quadrant Universal LC,
with Fluorescence pigment
Fluorescence is a process where a molecule/crystal
absorbs ultraviolet light and emits it at a different wavelength,
which makes it visible and under certain circumstances
(disco, UV light) even gives light.
Some materials do have fluorescence by nature, but very
often the fluorescence is added. Known examples are
fluorescent colours in clothes or markers, but also toothpastes
and detergents contain fluorescent pigments to make the
wash/teeth look more white.

Also the wonder of white teeth, is an example of fluorescence. Because dentine and enamel have the natural ability to absorb light of various wavelengths and radiate it as visible white light. Which is visible in blacklight as well as in normal day light conditions. Fluorescence gives the natural teeth the impression of radiant white and a lively look. The same look we would all wish for in an anterior restoration.
The vitality of other universal composites ?
A natural lively look we expect also from (cosmetic) anterior restorations. However the actual composites do reflect the light, but without a lively look. These restorations look matt (pict. 1a), and under blacklight greyish (pict.1b)

In some composites they have tried to add fluorescence, however the difference still remains visible (pict. 2a) In blacklight the restoration gives light, it is too heavy and wrongly coloured.

Renewed Quadrant Universal LC, with fluorescence pigment, guarantees restorations with the lively expression of the natural teeth.
With the renewed Quadrant Universal LC, you no longer see the difference with the natural teeth. Because Cavex succeeded to enrich Quadrant Universal LC with a fluorescence pigment, which is in optimal relation to the used fillermaterials.
Thanks to this the absorbed light in the restorations is radiated as white as natural teeth, giving the restoration the similar white and lively expression as dentine and enamel (pict. 3a/3b).The restoration exhibits a natural vitality at all times of the day, in all types of light, not only in blacklight.

This characteristic in combination with its natural light reflection, chameleon effect and the smoothly polishable surface guarantee your restorations with Quadrant Universal LC cant be distinguished from the real teeth.
The new Quadrant Universal LC is available in syringes and capsules in 6 Vita shades, an opaque A2 for the masking of discolorations and an incisal shade for the incisal edge.
